When using a plastic Ziploc bag to pipe frosting or as Ive done in the photo filled deviled eggs instead of cutting across the corner cut into it and it will produce a star-like effect so you dont have to insert a decorator tip in the bag.
How to put a decorating tip on a ziploc bag. It should be thick enough to hold some shape when piped but not be so firm that it is hard to squeeze out of the bag.
