How To Make Soldering Tip
Do not keep the soldering iron tip more than 3 seconds on the soldering joint when soldering CMOS components.
How to make soldering tip. Heat the joint with your soldering iron and place the tip of the solder sucker over the hot solder. We heat up the socket foot and the soldering spot. To use press the plunger down at the end of the solder sucker.
In order to empty the solder sucker press down on the plunger. After soldering check the solder joints carefully. If not wait a bit more or add more water to the sponge if its too dry.
Apply very little flux in the solder joints and make the soldering. Unroll a portion of solder then roll the hot tip of the iron from the end of the solder until it does one complete turn on the solder. This might challenge you but try holding the iron like a pencil and drawing it towards yourself.
You must have a steady grip on your iron to attach the wire. Press the release button to suck up the liquid solder. And the electric components size and shape finally select the one that you think or feel comfortable using.
Step 5 Trim to fit. Given the short stout design of a normal soldering tip one being made of high strength alloy steel like a masonry nail Vs an all copper tip the thermal conductivity difference would be negligible. Place the soldering iron tip onto the sensor and apply solder as if you were making a solder connection.
Select the soldering tip which you feel comfortable using. Rest your soldering hand on the bench to stop it wobbling as you go. Tinning and proper cleaning is extremely important to make the soldering process easy.
